Setting The Industry Standard With Autoload 6.0
Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada has recently released Autoload 6.0 – a loading instrument software with specific features tailored to meet key requirements of the bulk and tanker markets. If you are ordering a new bulk/tanker vessel, or are upgrading your present loading instrument, you owe it to yourself to have a look at Autoload 6.0.
The Product
Autoload/Bulk 6.0 and Autoload/Tanker 6.0 are based on Autoload 5.0.1, a proven, loading instrument software used around the world. Although many similarities can be drawn between Autoload 6.0 and its forefather, improvements in the new program are striking. For example, the Autoload 6.0 tank and weight dialogs have been improved for even easier load management with the use of intuitive new automatic and manual data entry methods. Plus, the user now has the option to have screen strength and stability information updated automatically or updated on demand by the user – the latter being a very useful feature if the user does not want the program screen to update after every key stroke. However, what really makes Autoload 6.0 a program for bulk and tanker ship operators are the following new features:
- Volume Correction Factor (VCF) Calculation
VCF are defined for petroleum products as per ASTM formulas, and for non-petroleum products the user defines VCF via a temperature table (Autoload/Tanker 6.0 only). - Ullage Survey Report is Internationally Recognized
Signature-ready Loading and After Discharge Reports are easily produced (Autoload/Tanker 6.0 only). - Loading and Unloading Sequence Development
Loading and unloading sequence of your tanks/holds can be readily prepared, ensuring that all pertinent stability and strength limits are not exceeded during the process. Include as many steps in the sequence you like. Edit, save and report functions are easy to use. - Ballast Exchange Preparation
Ballasting sequence can be easily setup, all the while monitoring strength and stability parameters. Easy to use editing, saving and reporting functions are included. - Longitudinal Strength Curves Always Visible
LS strength curves of bending moment and shear along with the respective limit curves are superimposed on a profile of your vessel. Always visible, you can readily see if there is a strength problem. - Bulkhead Shear Force Correction
Shear Force correction is calculated for double-bottom vessels and alternative hold loading as per DNV and Lloyd’s Register requirements. - Damage Stability Assessment
Single and multi-hold damage stability is assessed in real-time, taking into account cargo permeability.
If the above is not enough to convince you of the merits of this Class Approved program , you should also realize that Autoload is a true first principles program – in all aspects. Many of Autoload‘s competitors are only first principles with respect to the vessel’s hull, and not its tanks.
